Lucasfilm’s first live-action series, ‘The Mandalorian‘ is hitting DisneyPlus with its season 3, according to the latest updates.
As known, the last episode from season 2 was released back in December, and since that date, the fans of the series – and ‘Star Wars’ of course – started to wait for the good news regarding the new season of the series. The well-known actor Jon Favreau, who is also the creator of the series, announced at that time that season 3 was already renewed by DisneyPlus and heralded that the next season was in pre-production.
During his press statement, Favreau also declared that they would start filming for the spin-off series ‘The Book of Boba Fett.’
While the crew focusing on the spin-off series, a piece of great news came from the producers; it was officially announced that the filming for the ‘Star Wars’ series would begin on April 5, 2021. So, even though there is no official declaration, ‘The Mandalorian’ season 3 is likely to come in 2022.
As fans may remember, shortly before, producer Dave Filoni was asked by Good Morning America concerning the third season of ‘The Mandalorian.’ He stated at that time:
“Oh, that’s a tricky one, you know I don’t like to go into those answers without Jon here, my partner Jon Favreau. It’s exciting, we’re both working on that, we’re working on Boba Fett right now, so there’s a lot of new adventures coming up. I have to be careful, I can’t really say anything specific, but I think the Force will be strong with it. Let’s just say that.”
It seems that we need to wait a bit longer to see ‘Baby Yoda’ on TV.
