We have a piece of news regarding the world’s most-known “hybrid deer-boy.”
‘Sweet Tooth,’ the highly expected post-apocalyptic film, produced by ‘Iron Man’ star Robert Downey Jr. and co-President of Dark Castle Entertainment and Executive Vice President of Production at Silver Pictures Susan Downey, has been set to release!
As known, back on November 16, 2018, it was announced that ‘Sweet Tooth,’ based on the DC comic book of the same name by Jeff Lemire, would come out as a TV series, by streaming service Hulu. Then, the news that the pilot episode would be directed by Jim Mickle who also served as the executive producer along with Marvel alum arrived.
Since the news was confirmed, the fans of the comic book series, published through DC Black Label back in 2019, have been waiting for a release date announcement. Good news; the announcement arrived.
What’s the release date of ‘Sweet Tooth’?
The series, starring Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Will Forte, Dania Ramirez, Neil Sandilands, Stefania LaVie Owen, and Aliza Vellani, will premiere on June 4, 2021; it is now official!
As fans might know, the filming for the series, which follows a sheltered hybrid deer-boy called ‘Gus,’ began back in July 2020, in New Zealand. However, shortly after the production had begun, it was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fortunately, a few months later, the filming resumed and continued until December 2020.
Where can I watch ‘Sweet Tooth’?
Even though Hulu had ordered the series, written and directed by Jim Mickle, Netflix bought the right of the series back on April 9; so, we will watch ‘Sweet Tooth’ for eight episodes only on Netflix.
