When Will DC’s ‘Peacemaker’ Come Out? All We Know About ‘The Suicide Squad’ Spin-Off Series’ Release Date, Cast, And Production Details

As known, the highly-expected DC’s series created by James Gunn had been first announced back in September 2020. At that time, it was declared through certain trustworthy media outlets that the new series would be serving as a spin-off from the film ‘The Suicide Squad.’ Almost a year after the exciting announcement, the filming for the series produced by DC Films, The Safran Company, Troll Court Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Television started.

Production for the series, based on the DC Comics character ‘Peacemaker,’ began in January with the John Cena and the other ‘The Suicide Squad’ stars reprising their roles; Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, and Chukwudi Iwuji.

The great news was confirmed by the writer and director of the series, Gunn, through his social media posts. According to the latest updates, the filming which is taking place in Vancouver, Canada due to the coronavirus pandemic, is expected to conclude this month.

What’s the release date of ‘Peacemaker’?

Starring also Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang, Christopher Heyerdahl, Elizabeth Ludlow, Rizwan Manji, Nhut Le, Alison Araya, and Lenny Jacobson, the series is set to premiere in January 2022!

According to HBO Max, where the series will be streaming, ‘Peacemaker’ first season will consist of eight episodes.

As loyal fans might remember, Gunn, best known for directing the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ film series, revealed the show’s release date through his Instagram Stories back on May 12, when he was asked about it by a user of the photo-sharing platform.
