‘The Nevers‘ created by the developer of ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Joss Whedon premiered on April 11, 2021, through HBO Max. While the first part consisting of six episodes was released; the second part – the other six episodes – remained. Here is the question: “When will‘The Nevers’ part 2 be on air?”
Let’s find the answer.
What’s the release date of ‘The Nevers’ part 2?
Produced by Whedon, Philippa Goslett, Doug Petrie, Jane Espenson, Ilene S. Landress, and Bernadette Caulfield, the popular science fiction series, was split into two parts due to “production issues” resulted from the coronavirus pandemic.
As fans might remember, in late 2020, it was officially announced that there would be a 10-episode long first season, however, the showrunners & producers decided to make it 12 episodes after the shutdown by the pandemic and to put a break between the episodes.
HBO and HBO Max chief content officer Casey Bloys, who expressed that this decision came naturally, said in an interview regarding the break between the episodes of ‘The Nevers’ first season:
“There was kind of a natural narrative break at six. So that was the thought then was to air six episodes. So at least we had something to put out there for subscribers and fans. We’ll get a better sense of timing.”
During the same interview, Bloys also stated that the writers for the series are currently working on the second part of the script; also, it is known that the production is going on.
Starring Laura Donnelly, Ann Skelly, Olivia Williams, James Norton, Tom Riley, Pip Torrens, Denis O’Hare, Rochelle Neil, the series is expected to return to HBO Max with its 6-episode second part in late 2021, although there is no official announcement regarding that.
