British-American television drama series ‘Industry’ is returning to the TV – a streaming platform with its second season; it is official!
Starring Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, David Jonsson, Nabhaan Rizwan, Freya Mavor, Will Tudor, Conor MacNeill, Priyanga Burford, Ben Lloyd-Hughes and Derek Riddell the HBO series had been renewed for a second season in December 2020. It was not suprising when considered the success of its eight-episode first season.
Regarding the renewal of the series whose first season was directed by ‘Girls’ director and actor Lena Dunham, executive vice president of HBO programming Francesca Orsi said in a DEADLINE interview:
“It’s exciting to see fans embrace these young graduates, and we join them in anticipation of what’s in store for season two.”
During the interview, Orsi also heralded that co-creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay would be returning as showrunners.
What’s the release date of ‘Industry’ season 2?
Even though the news regarding the renewal was delivered back in 2020, neither HBO nor the showrunner has yet announced a release date; however, it is expected that the series created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay produced by the BBC will hit the streaming platform in the latter half of 2021.
What’s more, it is likely to see Myha’la Herrold, Ken Leung, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Mark Dexter, Will Tudor, and Priyanga Burford in the second season of ‘Industry.’
