One of the most recognized superhero streaming television series, ‘The Boys‘ has been set to release on Amazon Prime Video with its third season after “a little wait.”
As known, the series’ 8-episode-long second season premiered back on September 4, 2020, through Amazon Prime Video; and the final episode was released back on October 9, 2020. The series, based on the eponymous comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, garnered high praises from fans with its almost 60-minute-long episodes.
While the fans have been waiting for the next installment of the series, starring Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon and Karen Fukuhara, a piece of great news has arrived. As known, back in July 2020, Amazon Studios revealed that they had renewed the series for a third season; a few days after, showrunner Seth Rogen heralded that there would be a spinoff series. In a tweet, well-known actor and comedian wrote:
“The Vaught Cinematic Universe is expanding.”
Back in October series creator Eric Kripke also took to his verified Twitter account and revealed that the filming for ‘The Boys’ season 3 would be starting by early 2021. As he stated in his message, the shooting started on February 24.
Even though there is no official declaration regarding the exact release date, critics expect that the next season for the series will arrive in July 2022.
According to the latest updates, in the third season of ‘The Boys,’ ‘Supernatural‘ alum Jensen Ackles will be appearing as ‘Soldier Boy‘; while Katia Winter portraying ‘Little Nina.’
