The four-time Grammy award winner Will Smith honored actor Alfonso Ribeiro, playing ‘Maxwell Stanton’ on ‘In the House,’ on his 49th birthday with an Instagram post.
As known, Smith, and Ribeiro appeared together on the NBC sitcom ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ created by Andy Borowitz and Susan Borowitz, from September 1990 to May 1996. While Smith was portraying a fictionalized version of himself, Ribeiro was representing ‘Carlton Banks,’ the cousin to Will Smith’s lead character.
Addressing his castmate, Smith wrote alongside a photo of two:
“Through tears and laughter. Through questionable fashion choices and the inevitable glow up. Wishing U health & happiness on your next trip around the sun. You are the definition of Ride or Die. @therealalfonsoribeiro 📷: @alansilfen”
In return, Ribeiro left the following comment shortly after Smith updated his Instagram feed:
“Thanks brother. So many great memories and amazing times. Love ya.”
As remember, Ribeiro made a break out with the character ‘Carlton Banks’ that was known for dancing to Tom Jones’ ‘It’s Not Usual.’ Even, the dance routine gained fame as ‘The Carlton.’ As for the series, ran for 148 episodes over six seasons and received numerous Young Artist awards including Best Performance by an Actor Under Ten – Television and Best Performance by an Actor Under Ten in a TV Series.
