We have a piece of great news about the fan-favorite action drama series ‘Hanna.’
The Amazon hit based on the 2011 film of the same name directed by Joe Wright, premiered back on March 29, 2019. The second season arrived on July 3, 2020; the same month, Amazon Prime Video announced that they had renewed ‘Hanna’ for a third season!
Regarding the renewal for another season, series creator David Farr, who is a theatrical director as well, said in a press statement:
“I am truly grateful to Amazon and NBCU that we are able to continue that vision. I am also deeply indebted to Esmé Creed-Miles and to Mireille Enos for their continuing commitment and enormous talent as we take Hanna and Marissa into new and unexplored terrain. “
Farr also promised that the “third act” will be exciting. The renewal news did not fascinate only the creator, Esme Creed-Miles, who is playing the titular character in the series directed by Sarah Adina Smith stated during the interview with Den of Geek:
“I’d love to see Hanna eventually, at some point, return back to nature. I mean, as challenging as it is to shoot in the wilderness, I definitely feel an affinity with that and I love that part of who she is. I can’t really imagine her truthfully anywhere else being really content.”
What’s the release date of ‘Hanna’ season 3?
As we mentioned above, Amazon Prime Video announced the renewal for the series back in 2020; even though a year passed, neither the showrunner nor the streaming giant declared the release date of the ‘Hanna’ season 3.
However, we know that the production began back in February 2021 in Prague, Czech Republic – for the first in that area-. So, it is possible to say that the series starring Esme Creed-Miles, Mireille Enos, Joel Kinnaman, Noah Taylor, and Dermot Mulroney will arrive in 2022 with its third season.
