We have something for the fans of one of the most-watched comedy series; ‘The Goldbergs‘ will back on TV with its season 9! The official announcement has arrived finally.
As fans already know, the series, produced by Happy Madison, Doug Robinson Productions and Adam F. Goldberg Productions alongside Sony Pictures Television, took a jab with the passing of George Segal, who is portraying ‘Albert “Pops” Solomon,’ ahead of the end of season 8.
‘The Goldbergs’ season 8, consisting of 22 episodes in total, premiered back on October 21, 2020, through ABC, and the last episode of the eighth season released back on April 7; the great news announced after that; along with a bunch of series including ‘Black-ish,’ ABC declared that ‘The Goldbergs’ will hit TV with its ninth season.
What’s more, almost 2 weeks ago, the official Twitter account for the series, starring Wendi McLendon-Covey, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia, Sam Lerner, and Jeff Garlin, released the following message in order to confirm the news:
“Call your frentas! The Goldbergs are coming back for another season on ABC!”
The renewal by ABC is not surprising cause the ’80s-set series, created by Adam F. Goldberg, is marked as one of the top-rated shows on basis of its genre. So much so that, the series received a score of 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and created a loyal fanbase.
What’s the release date of ‘The Goldbergs’ season 9?
As loyal fans know, the new seasons of the series are typically released in September; however, the last season – season 8 – arrived back in October due to the coronavirus pandemic. When we consider that the pandemic is gradually erasing from our lives, it is possible to say that ‘The Goldbergs’ season 9 will hit ABC in Fall 2021.
What’s more, according to updates provided by TV critics, Sam Lerner, Kenny Ridwan, Jacob Hopkins, Judd Hirsch, Sadie Stanley, Shayne Topp and AJ Michalka will possibly continue to appear in the next season of the series.
