As recently reported by ComicBook.com, Wilson Bethel is set to reprise his role as Benjamin ‘Dex’ Poindexter, better known as Bullseye, in the upcoming Disney+ miniseries ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’
Joining Bethel in the cast are Charlie Cox, reprising his role as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk / Kingpin. The series will explore the latest confrontation between these two characters. The cast also features new and returning actors, including Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / The Punisher, Sandrine Holt, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson from the original Netflix series.
Dario Scardapane takes the helm as the showrunner, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing. The creative overhaul of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ led to a shorter episode order and the replacement of the initial directors and head writers, Matt Corman and Chris Ord. This change aims to create a narrative more closely connected to the original series while also forging a new path within Phase Five of the MCU.
Is ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ a sequel to ‘Daredevil’?
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, continuing the story that began in the 2015-2018 ‘Daredevil’ series by Marvel Television and Netflix. Scheduled to premiere in 2025, the series promises to be a continuation of the films of the MCU franchise.
Set to be released on Disney+, the series will consist of 18 episodes, divided into two parts of nine episodes each. The show’s initial plan was 18 continuous episodes, but the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike temporarily halted production, resulting in this change.
As for Wilson Bethel, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ currently appears as his sole announced project.
