Actor and director Zach Braff, best known for his portrayal of ‘J. D.’ on the long-run television series ‘Scrubs’ confirmed the news that he is joining Gabrielle Union for a new ‘Cheaper By The Dozen‘ franchise, with a hilarious tweet, on January 28.
Braff, who recently got the media attention with a heartfelt Instagram tribute he had shared for his actor girlfriend, Florence Pugh, posted a screenshot of a Hollywood Reporter news announcing his joining the cast of the upcoming Disney+ comedy, and added an incredibly funny message alongside.
Referring to the movie’s story that focuses on a family of 12, Braff expressed his excitement about co-starring with one of the 100 most influential people in the world, by saying:
“I dreamt I married Gabrielle Union and had 12 kids. It came true!!!”
After praising his co-star in a hilarious way, ‘Bullets Over Broadway‘ star Braff declared that the reimagining of the hit 2003 comedy has been written by ‘Black-ish‘ creator Kenya Barris with the following words:
“Written by Kenya Barris. I’m sooooo excited.”
According to Hollywood Reporter, the new project, which will be directed by Gail Lerner while Barris will also serve as executive producer, is scheduled to be released in 2022. As fans remember, the original version of the film, in which Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt starred, was launched in 2003 and grabbed highly favorable reviews both from critics and viewers.
