Zack Snyder Says DC Fans Are Brainwashed Over What’s True Canon

He said some fans might not agree with his view of superheroes.

Zack Snyder has ‘big disagreements’ with some DC fans — he doesn’t think superheroes shouldn’t kill their enemies.

Snyder recently sat down with Empire Magazine for an interview. He explained why he made Batman and Superman kill their enemies — he thinks this is sometimes necessary. Snyder said some fans don’t agree with him because they have been ‘brainwashed’:

“The only reason I’m not surprised is that some people got brainwashed by a bunch of material that’s not consistent with true canon. And that’s fine. They’re on their own journey.”

Snyder May Make Animated Sequels

Snyder also said he would like to make animated sequels because it could be fun and cool.

‘Snyder Cut’ of the ‘Justice League’ was released in 2021 on HBO Max. He added new scenes in that version and teased what could happen next in the story like Superman being controlled by Darkseid and Bruce Wayne having a baby with Lois Lane.

Making more movies about these stories still seems unlikely. The chances are even slimmer today, but Snyder stated it’s still possible he may turn his movie ideas into a comic book or another animated movie.
