American actress, director, and writer Zelda Williams, whose father late actor and comedian Robin Williams, celebrated her father’s 69th birthday by donating to charities.
The actress tweeted:
“Today would’ve been Dad’s 69th birthday. So to honor him (& that glorious number), I will be donating $69.69 to as many local homeless shelters as I can. Join me if you like, but regardless, know I am wishing you all at least one hearty, immature belly laugh on Dad today ♥️”
As known, Robin Williams committed suicide and died of asphyxia due to hanging, in 2014.
Then she donated to LALGBTCenter, Union Rescue Mission, Path Partners, The Midnight Mission, The Ali Forney Center, and others, and she also published the messages had received from organizations following the donations. Along with a message, she wrote the following hilarious note:
“Also, my credit card company is gonna think something is seriously wrong soon. Onwards!”
Later, Williams thanked fans for joining her and posted the following tweet:
“Welp, got the ‘suspicious activity’ email, so gonna have to slow down on 69s and go talk to a robot for a bit 😂 Gonna go back to being off socials for a while (as I do yearly), but thanks for joining me in honoring Dad (and the number 69) today! ♥️”
At the end of the day, the actress wrote the following message, and expressed that she is forever grateful:
“Wanted to pop back to say I’ve gotten a ton of these. Charities are receiving $69.69 all over the world! The ripples of good you all spread is helping SO MANY! It’s more than just a ‘nice’ gesture… you’ve spread kindness like Dad spread laughter.”
