Zendaya recently looked back at how her and Tom Holland’s careers were affected by their roles in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ during a chat with Vogue. She explained:
“We were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight. One day you’re a kid and you’re at the pub with your friends, and then the next day you’re Spider-Man. I definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him. But he handled it really beautifully.”
Holland achieved minor success in the West End and films like ‘Pilgrimage’ before the Marvel franchise. But his career took off with the 2017 film at the age of 21.
Zendaya’s Proud Of Holland’s Career
The Spider-Man actor is now returning to London’s West End. He will lead Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’ opposite Francesca Amewudah-Rivers from May to August.
Zendaya told Vogue that she ‘could not be more proud’ of her boyfriend and added:
“I’m going to try to see as many shows as I possibly can.”
The couple confirmed their relationship in July 2021 and have been in the public eye ever since.
The Couple Is Enjoying Dates Despite Public Attention
Zendaya mentioned that they didn’t let attention get in the way of their dates. She recalled how the pair decided to visit the Louvre in Paris despite being warned against it in 2022. She shared:
“It was actually fine. You just kind of get used to the fact that, ‘Oh, I’m also one of these art pieces you’re going to take a picture of.’ I just gotta be totally cool with it and just live my life.”
The MJ actress said they also got to overstay their visit thanks to their fame:
“It was one of the coolest experiences ever. It was like ‘Night At The Museum.’ ”
Holland and Zendaya recently attended the BNP Paribas Open finals in Indian Wells, California. They were seen chatting and singing along to Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody.’
