Kirsten Dunst And Jesse Plemons’ Family: Meet Ennis And James Plemons

While Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons continue their careers in Hollywood, they maintain a private family life with their sons, Ennis and James, away from the public eye in their San Fernando Valley home.

Apart from their careers in Hollywood, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are also parents of two. Let’s take a closer look at the couple’s life away from the cameras and get to know their sons, Ennis Howard and James Robert Plemons.

Who is Ennis and James Plemons?

Born on May 3, 2018, in Los Angeles, Ennis Howard Plemons is five years old today.

His mother Kirsten is known for her role in ‘Spider-Man’ and numerous other performances, while his father, Jesse, played roles in ‘Friday Night Lights’ and ‘Breaking Bad.’ Ennis made his first media appearance at 15 months on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with his parents.

Ennis isn’t the only child in the Plemons household. In May 2021, his younger brother, James Robert Plemons, expanded the family. Unlike his elder brother, James’ early life has been kept more private, with fewer details known about him.

Ennis’ parents spent time in New Zealand during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic due to a project, and he had a chance to spend time with his family there. As shared by Plemons, he’s interested in reading, particularly enjoying Jimmy Fallon’s children’s books.

As for the youngest, James, details about him remain limited. However, Dunst shared in an Instagram post that James is a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but isn’t aware of his mother’s role as MJ in ‘Spider-Man.’

Kirsten and Jesse’s Parenting Journey

Dunst announced her pregnancy through a stylish photoshoot in January 2018. In a 2019 interview, she stated she even considered egg freezing before meeting Plemons:

“I thought I would have a hard time getting pregnant, but it was a surprise. If I hadn’t met Jesse, I would have frozen my eggs. [But] it feels like I lucked out.”

However, especially after becoming a godmother, her thoughts changed:

“I wasn’t one of those ‘I need a baby!’ people until my goddaughter was born. I love her so much. That love is just like… you can’t experience that unless you have a kid. I put her to bed last night, and she woke up this morning and said to her mom, ‘Where’s Kiki?’ I just love that love. That’s what I want.”

Engaged since 2017 and married in 2022, the couple have had a private family life and often shielded their children from the spotlight.

Dunst, in her interviews, has often spoken about the impact motherhood has had on her. Speaking to US Weekly in 2019, she said the following about her experiences:

“God, you’re just tired all the time. Also, doing this show [‘On Becoming a God in Central Florida’] too … It’s so much easier to go back to work than it is to be a stay-at-home mom.”

Plemons, too, has shared his joy in fatherhood, describing it as a transformative experience:

“It’s so hard to put into words. All the cliches are true, what every parent tells you. … People complain about not getting enough sleep, but there’s no better reason on earth to lose sleep, you know? … It is hard being away, but it’s also just so much fun to watch the lights turn on slowly more and more every day.”

Financially, both Dunst and Plemons have successful careers. With reported net worths of $25 million and $15 million, they live as a family in San Fernando Valley, LA.
