Gaten Matarazzo Reveals His ‘Dark Plans’ For ‘Stranger Things’

He says it would be better if more characters could die.

As per CBR’s recent tweet, Gaten Matarazzo shared his bold vision for ‘Stranger Things’ future while answering fan questions.

Speaking about potential changes he’d like to see in the show’s future, Matarazzo suggested a more perilous fate for the characters, stating:

“It might sound messed up but we should kill more people. This show would be so much better if the stakes were much higher, like at any moment any of these kids can kick it. I feel like we’re all too safe.”

Is ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 Coming?

Created by the Duffer Brothers, ‘Stranger Things’ has successfully aired four seasons, with a fifth and final season on the horizon.

The production of the fifth season faced delays due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. David Harbour, who plays Chief Jim Hopper, initially indicated that filming was slated to begin in June 2023. However, it was postponed, with the Duffer Brothers announcing that production officially started on January 8, 2024.

The final season, which sees the return of series regulars alongside new addition Linda Hamilton in an undisclosed role, is expected to premiere in 2025. Whether the show will take a darker turn, as Matarazzo suggests, remains to be seen.
