Zootopia 2 Release Date
‘Zootopia 2’ is slated to hit theaters on November 26, 2025. This announcement comes nearly a decade after directors Byron Howard and Rich Moore first discussed the potential for a sequel to the 2016 hit.
In February 2023, Iger confirmed that a follow-up was officially in the works, with Jared Bush returning as director alongside Josie Trinidad, who takes on her feature directorial debut. The film’s stars, Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, have already expressed their excitement about revisiting their roles.
When Will ‘Frozen 3’ Be Released?
‘Frozen 3’ is also on the horizon, with an expected arrival in 2026. While the exact date remains under wraps, speculation points to November 25, 2026, as the likely premiere, coinciding with a slot currently reserved for an ‘Untitled Disney Animation’ project.
This sequel follows the success of ‘Frozen II,’ which outperformed its predecessor at the box office. Besides, Disney has already hinted at further expanding the franchise with a fourth installment.
Surprise Announcement: Moana 2
Disney also revealed plans for ‘Moana 2,’ set to premiere in November 2024. First announced as a series for Disney+, the project has been reimagined as a theatrical sequel under the direction of Dave Derrick Jr., who’ll be making his feature directorial debut. While details about the voice cast are still forthcoming, the anticipation is high, especially with Dwayne Johnson’s involvement in the live-action remake of ‘Moana’ set for June 2025.
