Isabelle Huppert Has One Condition To Join MCU

At 71, Huppert is ready to try something new by joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

71-year-old actress Isabelle Huppert recently told the Guardian that she has a big dream: she wants to join the MCU but with a twist.

Huppert stated that she’s not looking to be a Marvel hero. Instead, she wants to be the bad guy. Not just any bad guy, though:

“It must be nice, maybe, to be the villain – a real villain, not the villain in most of the films I do, who has a good reason to be a villain. I never get to play a pure villain.”

She Also Wants To Be a Disney Villain

In a 2021 interview with Variety, the actress said that she would want to be a Disney villain if she had the opportunity. She then revealed what this villain would look like:

“I would make her more lovable. It’s scarier when you make them a bit more lovable, attractive, and manipulative instead of doing it like a classical villain.”

Acting Isn’t A Job For Her

Isabelle also shared some thoughts about her job as an actress. She said that acting isn’t just a job; it’s what she loves to do. She told the Guardian that she feels lucky that she gets to act because she enjoys it so much; it doesn’t feel like work to her:

“I’m not sure I feel like I work. That’s the essential point. Of course, it is work. But work is something very different for many people. Sometimes, unfortunately, work can be surviving, it can be difficult. You can spend your life doing something that you don’t really like doing, and I guess, in this case, some part of your brain can focus on something else. But in my case, I have this immense privilege to do something that I love. So that’s why I can’t really call it work. It’s something different.”

Huppert played tough and serious characters in her career. It appears that this makes her think she’d fit right in as a villain in the MCU.
