Zendaya had some ideas for ‘Euphoria’s new season that didn’t exactly make the cut with HBO.
According to Variety, Zendaya thought it would be cool to see Rue turning into a private detective or helping someone by being a pregnancy surrogate. But HBO didn’t think these ideas matched the show’s vibe. It seems like fans agree. Many said they’d rather not have a Season 3 than watch these new ideas come to life:
“I don’t like either idea, and I think maybe it’s time to end the show before they ruin it.”
‘Euphoria’ creator Sam Levinson originally planned to move the story five years into the future. This got a thumbs-up from HBO at first, but things changed when Zendaya shared her thoughts. It seems they didn’t go over well this time.
There’s More Trouble Behind the Scenes
Production is also pushed back, which means everyone working on the show has to wait longer to start making the next set of episodes. HBO had some big challenges as well, like the strikes and losing Angus Cloud and Kevin Turen.
So, ‘Euphoria’s future is a bit cloudy right now. HBO is thinking about different ways to keep the show going. Everyone who makes ‘Euphoria’ happen, including Zendaya, still wants to make a Season 3. But they have to figure out how to make it so everyone likes it.
If HBO decides to go ahead with Season 3, it might be shorter than the usual eight episodes.
