‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ is going to end after its fifth season this fall. But Jack Quaid isn’t ready to say goodbye just yet.
Quaid voices Brad Boimler in ‘Lower Decks.’ He recently shared his feelings about the show’s end on Instagram. He said he’d be thrilled to continue playing Boimler in the future and hoped ‘Lower Decks’ could find a new home:
“I’m so sad to announce that Paramount Plus won’t be moving forward with more seasons of ‘Lower Decks.’ I can’t begin to tell you what an honor it’s been to be a part of this show and the Star Trek universe at large. I am unbelievably grateful for 5 awesome seasons with this wonderful family. …
The good news is that everyone who makes Lower Decks LOVES making Lower Decks. I could play Boimler for 17 more seasons. No joke. I’m serious. I love that purple-haired nerd. Hopefully, we will find a new home, but until then, please look forward to an amazing season five (airing this fall).”
‘Lower Decks’ Says Goodbye With Fifth Season
It’s sad news, but the people who make ‘Lower Decks’ love the show very much and are proud of what they created. Quaid even starred as his character in a real-life episode of another Star Trek show, ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.’
‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ is set to have a fourth season. It even had a special musical episode and a crossover with ‘Lower Decks.’
‘Lower Decks’ is ending, but new ‘Star Trek’ shows are coming. ‘Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’ starts filming later this year, and ‘Star Trek: Section 31’ just finished making its movie with star Michelle Yeoh.
Quaid is returning as Hughie Campbell in ‘The Boys.’
