It appears Marvel Studios is thinking about casting Dwayne Johnson as a major villain from the X-Men comics: Apocalypse.
Apocalypse is a pretty strong mutant from Egypt. He was first introduced to fans in 1986. He believes only the strongest should survive and tries to make other mutants more powerful. According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Marvel wants The Rock to play Apocalypse in the future.
Oscar Isaac played this character in 2016’s ‘X-Men: Apocalypse.’

This May Be An Opportunity For The Rock
Dwayne Johnson has been wrestling again in WWE. Some say he needs a new big movie role because his latest movies didn’t do too well. He played in ‘Black Adam’ which wasn’t a big hit, and he’s also been in other projects that didn’t turn out as expected.
According to reactions from social media, some fans believe Johnson may be perfect for this role because he played similar roles before in ‘The Scorpion King’ and ‘Black Adam.’ Both of these characters also come from ancient Egyptian backgrounds.
These are just rumors for now. Marvel Studios or Dwayne Johnson didn’t confirm anything. But if The Rock does end up playing Apocalypse, it could be in the new X-Men reboot or maybe in one of the Avengers movies.
