Matt Smith Is Sure Daemon Targaryen Could Kick Jon Snow’s Ass

Smith is returning as Daemon Targaryen in the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel’s Season 2 on June 16.

Matt Smith recently discussed the upcoming season of ‘House of the Dragon’ on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.’ When Fallon asked him who would win in a fight between Daemon Targaryen and Kit Harrington’s Jon Snow, he said:

“Wow, come on, man. Jimmy… Who would win in a fight between Jon Snow and — Mate, I’ve got a dragon! Listen, I have a lot of respect for Jon Snow. Jon Snow is a bad boy. Don’t get me wrong. Kit Harrington, lovely man, lovely guy. I have a lot of respect, but don’t get it twisted. I would f*ck those brothers up, mate.”

Details About The Upcoming Season

Smith gave details about the HBO series’ new season, as well. He shared that the Targaryen family’s battle over the throne would continue:

“There are a lot of rifts within the family, as you’d expect, and there’s a lot of grief kind of flying around. And so, I think that makes people act strange, and so people are acting and reacting in a very Targaryen way.”

Ongoing Tension Between The Seven Kingdoms

Showrunner Ryan Condal previously noted that the upcoming episodes would also delve into the feud between the Targaryens and the Hightowers. He told Entertainment Weekly:

“I’m really interested in picking up with all of those characters that we spent all of this time introducing, particularly [main characters] Rhaenyra and Alicent’s families, and seeing what happens now that we’ve flipped the chessboard over and spilled the pieces on the ground.”

‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 premiered at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on June 3.
