Zachary Quinto of ‘Star Trek’ was banned from a restaurant for mistreating staff.
The restaurant Manita on Ossington Ave called Quinto an ‘entitled child’ on Instagram for his behavior while dining there. Their statement began:
“Zachary Quinto – an amazing Spock, but a terrible customer. Yelled at staff like an entitled child after he didn’t reply to two texts to inform him his table was ready and refused to believe the empty tables in the dining room weren’t available for him despite being politely informed they were spoken for.”
They continued:
“Made our host cry and the rest of our brunch diners uncomfortable. Mr. Quinto, take your bad vibes somewhere else, we have many lovely celebrities join us at Manita, but you are NOT one of them.”
The Restaurant’s Second Message On Social Media
They tagged Quinto’s Instagram account, too. Later, Manita on Ossington Ave shared an additional statement, writing:
“To expand upon yesterday’s story re: Zachary Quinto. This isn’t the first time, nor will it be the last time an irate guest has taken their frustrations out on our staff. Manita is deeply grateful for our mostly incredible, friendly, gracious guests … who may give us constructive feedback from time to time. To all the other Zachary Quintos out there, on behalf of restaurant workers everywhere: We aren’t above criticism, but we are above being demeaned.”
Quinto’s reps didn’t reply to Fox News Digital for a comment. Quinto played Spock in the 2009 ‘Star Trek’ movie and its sequels, ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ and ‘Star Trek Beyond.’
He first became famous for his role as the villain Sylar in NBC’s ‘Heroes’ and later played Spock, taking over from Leonard Nimoy and eventually passing the role to Ethan Peck. He also starred as the villain Charlie Manx in AMC’s ‘N0S4A2’ and voices Robot in the animated series ‘Invincible.’
