New Batman Actor for ‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ Revealed

Fans got a sneak peek of his performance in a recently released clip.

Hamish Linklater is the new voice of Batman for ‘Batman: Caped Crusader.’

Prime Video gave fans a preview of Linklater’s Batman voice in a new clip released yesterday. They are excited to host this highly anticipated revival. Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon and MGM Studios, previously said that ‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ will continue the tradition:

“‘Batman: The Animated Series’ helped pioneer in the evolution of superhero storytelling and defined the Dark Knight for a generation. ‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ will no doubt continue that tradition and, alongside ‘Merry Little Batman’ and ‘Bat-Family,’ we’re thrilled to collaborate with Warner Bros. Animation to offer a variety of takes of the ‘Batman’ mythos to our global Prime Video customers.”

Linklater Fills In For Kevin Conroy

‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ continues the story from the classic animated series created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini. This new show is a big project, and fans have been curious about who would voice Batman after Kevin Conroy. There was a big gap to fill after Conroy’s passing, and Linklater is now stepping into the role.

The show is being created by J.J. Abrams, Bruce Timm, and Matt Reeves. They are hyped about bringing Batman back in ‘Caped Crusader’:

“We are beyond excited to be working together to bring this character back, to tell engrossing new stories in Gotham City. The series will be thrilling, cinematic, and evocative of Batman’s noir roots, while diving deeper into the psychology of these iconic characters. We cannot wait to share this new world.”

‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ will use advanced animation techniques and will reimagine Batman’s world. The show is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho, and it is based on characters from DC Comics. The executive producers include Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, Ed Brubaker, and Sam Register.
