Zack Snyder Has Exciting Updates About His Justice League

The director is teasing a theatrical release for the DCEU film.

Zack Snyder recently posted a photo of Ben Affleck from his version of ‘Justice League’ on Vero. He mentioned plans to bring the four-hour movie to the theaters in the caption:

“Want to see ‘ZSJL’ on the big screen… Stay tuned for a date.”

‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ was originally released on Max in 2021.

Snyder’s Version Was Well-Received

Snyder left the 2017 ‘Justice League’ during production due to a family tragedy. Joss Whedon later took over, but his version didn’t meet approval from viewers due to the change in tone.

So, the ‘Watchmen’ director released an alternate version with unused and newly shot footage following a fan campaign. The new cut received better reviews and earned a 93% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes against the 2017 film’s 67%.

The Director Left DC After The 2021 Film

Zack Snyder’s cast included Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, and more.

Jared Leto also made a comeback as the Joker with a different design from his ‘Suicide Squad’ look. Although viewers expected to see more of the new appearance in SnyderVerse, the director didn’t return to DC after ‘Justice League.’

James Gunn and Peter Safran took over the comic book universe ever since and are getting ready to reboot it starting with 2025’s ‘Superman.’
