Jensen Ackles Returns For ‘Tracker’ In Season 2

Ackles is coming back to ‘Tracker’ for season 2 as Russell Shaw

Jensen Ackles is set to return to ‘Tracker’ for its second season.

Ackles will play Russell Shaw, the older brother of Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley). Hartley and the show’s executive producer Elwood Reid announced the news during the Television Critics Association 2024 Press Tour in Pasadena, California:

“We got him. He’s coming back.”

They said Ackles will appear in more than one episode.

Ackles Will Return To ‘The Boys’ As Well

He will be in the final season of ‘The Boys’ as Soldier Boy, a superhero from World War II. His character was frozen at the end of season 3, but Eric Kripke hinted that Soldier Boy may come back. Ackles also made a cameo in the spinoff series ‘Gen V.’

‘Tracker’ follows Colter Shaw, a skilled survivalist and tracker who travels across the country in his RV. He uses his tracking abilities to help civilians and law enforcement solve crimes and find missing people. Colter teamed up with his brother Russell to look for a missing army buddy in the first season.

Ackles previously appeared in the first season of ‘Tracker’ in the second-to-last episode. In that episode, Colter and Russell reunited to dig into their family history. We can expect more family drama in season 2, as Reid hinted that Melissa Roxburgh may also return.

Ackles’ representative didn’t respond to Entertainment Weekly‘s request for comment.
