Black Noir Actor Nathan Mitchell Says No One Told Him How ‘The Boys’ Will End

Mitchell shares what he knows about the show and Black Noir’s end.

‘The Boys’ Season 4 wrapped up in July, setting up the stage for its fifth and final season. Nathan Mitchell discussed the upcoming episodes with The Direct.

“They have not told me that,” the actor admitted about what to expect from the finale after noting that the filming was relatively close to start. “I know they’re working it out, but no, they’ve kept it pretty close.”

“I have had a conversation with [Showrunner] Eric [Kripke] about what Season 5 is going to be, and I’m so excited. I had a few ideas, but when he came in, he was like—the second he told me what he was planning, I was like, ‘Oh, my God, that is my dream.’ I’m so happy we get to explore that,” he added about Black Noir.

Mitchell played both the original Black Noir and a new version hired by Vought in Season 4. The company and its Supes took over the US thanks to Homelander’s plan in the last episodes.

Season 5 will see the return of Antony Starr, Karl Urban, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, and Tomer Capone. Eric Kripke and other writers are currently working on the new story.

The writing started about a month before the previous season’s release. Still, the production is expected to take at least two years to finish. So, the earliest release date will likely be around mid-2026.
