Gina Carano Refuses To Put Out A ‘Fake Apology’ Demanded By Disney

Carano’s lawsuit against Disney is set to proceed to court. The conflict arose after Disney ended their partnership with the actress due to her controversial social media posts.

Gina Carano discussed how Disney asked for an apology for her posts comparing the Holocaust and today’s political issues in a recent YouTube interview with Shawn Ryan.

The actress said she had no regrets about her online activity and thus refused to issue a ‘fake apology’ for the company. “I don’t worship your business… And I have done plenty wrong in my life that I will need to account for and I will need to apologize for, but at this moment I haven’t done anything wrong,” she reportedly wrote in an email back then.

“And I am not going to put out one of these fake apologies that you have all everybody else put out that mean nothing, that degrade them, that take away from their words.”

Carano claimed in her lawsuit that Disney’s decision to fire her from ‘The Mandalorian’ was discriminatory because her [male] co-stars faced no consequences for their political views unlike her. Despite the studio’s request to dismiss it, the case got a trial date for September 25, 2025.

“At what point does this corruption get revealed is my question,” the actress commented on the suit. “And at the same time, I want so badly to get back to my life. I don’t want to spend years in court at the same time. So, I have this battle in me and I know the right answer will come. And I don’t have that right answer at the moment.”

Carano is seeking at least $75,000 in damages, arguing that she lost several projects including her own ‘Star Wars’ spinoff show because of Disney.
