‘Velma’ Is Making A Comeback For Halloween Despite Backlash

‘Velma’ is returning with a special Halloween episode on October 3.

MAX’s animated series ‘Velma’ is set to return just in time for Halloween.

‘Velma’ is one of the most controversial shows on the platform, but a Halloween special will air on October 3. This new episode will continue Velma Dinkley’s story even though she was killed off in the second season’s finale.

According to ComicBook, the Halloween special will follow Velma’s friends as they try to find a spellbook that can bring her back to life. They only have 24 hours to save her while avoiding a vengeful spirit and preparing for their annual Halloween party.

Warner Bros released a poster showing Velma, Daphne, Shaggy, and Fred getting ready for this new episode.

Velma died at the end of season two, and we saw her ghost watching the chaos caused by the villain Scrappy Doo. Scrappy was portrayed as a government experiment gone wrong in this version of the show. He’s much more dangerous than fans remember from the past. He was defeated, but the introduction of ghosts in the series means that Scrappy might come back.

Scooby-Doo didn’t appear in the show yet, but there are hints that he may make a surprise appearance in the special.

There is no confirmation of a third season for ‘Velma,’ though. We will see Velma and the gang in the Halloween special, but it’s still unknown if the show will continue after this episode.
