Kristen Bell Confirms Her Kids Don’t Like ‘Frozen’ But Definitely ‘Benefited’ From It

The actress starred in Disney’s 2013 film and its 2019 sequel alongside Idina Menzel.

Kristen Bell previously mentioned her children were disinterested in the ‘Frozen’ films. So, Vanity Fair recently questioned whether anything changed in their opinions in the passing years.

“They certainly appreciate it in the fact that they can go to college because of it, but they’re not part of the ‘Frozen’ phenomenon,” the actress replied. “Because kids are meant to make you feel grounded and they are meant to reject things their parents are involved in. Even if they secretly liked it, they would never tell me.”

Though Bell’s two daughters with her husband Dax Shepard are not fans of the Disney franchise, for her, playing Anna was a dream job. The actress told the outlet that she was ‘thrilled’ to voice the Princess of Arendelle for the 2013 original because it gave her an opportunity to “create a character that I really needed to see when I was 11 years old.”

“I said all the Disney princesses stand like this, their hands are always perfect, their posture is perfect,” she recalled. “I want her [Anna] to be the opposite. I want her to wake up with drool in her mouth and I want her to snore and I want her to talk too much and too fast and wear her heart on her sleeve and trip over things, like the real quirk for a girl who is lovable, but not as put together.”

Bell is now getting ready to voice Anna again for ‘Frozen 3’ and ‘Frozen 4.’ The two sequels are currently in the works.
