Not one, but two new ‘Predator’ movies are set to hit theaters in 2025.
A secret ‘Predator’ movie has been revealed, and it will be released next year alongside the already-announced ‘Predator: Badlands.’
20th Century Fox confirmed that ‘Predator: Badlands’ will have a theatrical release in 2025. It turns out ‘Prey’ director Dan Trachtenberg secretly directed another ‘Predator’ film. As per The Hollywood Reporter, this hidden project will be released before ‘Badlands.’ Details are still under wraps.
Dan Trachtenberg was asked to direct a sequel. He chose to go in a different direction and came up with multiple ideas for the ‘Predator’ series. These ideas led to the development of two new Predator films. They are both directed by Trachtenberg.
’20th Century Fox’ president Steve Asbell teased that ‘Badlands’ is ‘bonkers’ and unlike what most people would expect from a ‘Predator’ movie. Another live-action ‘Predator’ movie starring Elle Fanning is also confirmed. Filming for this movie recently finished in New Zealand, and it’s expected to be released in theaters next year.
The team at 20th Century Fox is also planning new films for the ‘Alien,’ ‘Avatar’, and ‘Planet of the Apes’ series. ‘Another Planet of the Apes’ movie is scheduled for 2027, and they continue to work on new ideas for original movies.
