‘Game of Thrones’ author George R.R. Martin recently shared details of a meeting with ‘Game of Thrones’ star Maisie Williams, hinting that their get-together was more than just a social visit.
“We also got together with Maisie Williams for pizza and pasta, and talked about… well, no, better not get into that, do not want to jinx it,” Martin wrote in a series of blog posts recounting his summer of travel and events.
“But it could be so much fun.” These brief comments have sparked widespread speculation across a fan forum for ‘Game of Thrones’ and Martin’s novels, ‘A Song of Ice and Fire.’ Many fans and commenters are speculating that Martin and Williams may have discussed a possible sequel series about Arya and her journey after the series finale.
The author is still working on the final two novels in ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ and on various screen adaptations as well. ‘The Hedge Knight’ is expected to premiere next year on HBO, while ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 is slated for 2026.
Martin has also confirmed that ‘Game of Thrones’ will receive seven additional spin-offs after ‘House of the Dragon’, so his meeting with Williams could be related to one of these upcoming projects.
