Amazon and MGM released the first trailer for ‘Red One,’ a new holiday action comedy.
‘Red One’ stars Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans. Johnson plays a North Pole security agent named Yule McTidington (or possibly Callum Drift). Chris Evans plays a skilled bounty hunter. Together, they must rescue Santa Claus (J.K. Simmons), who has been kidnapped.
Johnson’s and Evans’ characters team up to save Christmas in the movie. They fight buff snowmen, Krampus, and other creatures made with CGI. There is a scene where Johnson’s character turns a toy Hot Wheels car into a real Chevy Corvette, and Evans’ character jokes about wanting a Wonder Woman action figure turned into a real person.

‘The Rock’ Caused Drama On ‘Red One’ Set
There has been some controversy about Dwayne Johnson’s behavior on set, but the movie is still set to be a fun and action-packed adventure for the holidays. Johnson even posted on Instagram pretending that Santa Claus was missing and asking for help to find him.
The official synopsis of ‘Red One’ reads:
“After Santa Claus (Simmons) – Code Name: ‘Red One’ – is kidnapped, the North Pole’s Head of Security (Johnson) must team up with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter (Evans) in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas.”
‘Red One’ is directed by Jake Kasdan, who also directed ‘Jumanji.’ The story was created by Hiram Garcia, the President of Production at Seven Bucks Productions. The script was written by Chris Morgan, who has worked on many ‘Fast & Furious’ movies. The film’s producers include Jake Kasdan, Melvin Mar, Chris Morgan, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia, and Dwayne Johnson.
