Netflix recently talked to Benedict Cumberbatch about his career and past roles. The actor told the platform that ‘Avengers 5’ would start filming next year and he’d join the cast as Doctor Strange. He said of Marvel:
“It’s been a very lovely relationship with that company. I’m very much looking forward to ‘Avengers [5]’ next year.”
What’s Known About The New ‘Avengers’ Film?
‘Avengers 5’ was originally announced as ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,’ but the name will likely change as Kang won’t be the main villain anymore due to Jonathan Majors’ assault conviction in December.
Rumors suggest that the film will include ‘60 different characters,’ such as Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Shang-Chi, and Nebula. But the superhero team will be smaller this time.
Talks About The Film’s Director
Shawn Levy is currently the top choice to direct a script by Michael Waldron, but he’s still considering the offer. Marvel is in talks with other directors as a backup.
Meanwhile, the production for Levy’s ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is over. Ryan Reynolds shared the news on Instagram this week.
The film will come out on July 26.
