The caption, light-hearted in tone, celebrated their transition from childhood stars to adults. However, this post quickly attracted comments from social media users, with one asking if Trachtenberg was unwell due to her appearance:
“Michelle, you look sick. Are you okay?”
Trachtenberg’s response was swift and pointed. She questioned the reason behind the comment, saying:
“Explain to me how I look sick. Did you lose a calendar and not realize I’m not 14? I’m 38. How sad for you to leave such a comment.”
Upon seeing the actress’ response, the fan responded:
“No disrespect. My comment was really not to hurt you. I look up to you. It has nothing to do with your age. I just find that you look pale and sick. Sorry if I offended you; it was not my intention.”
Despite the original commenter’s efforts to explain that their remark was out of concern and not meant to be disrespectful, the conversation continued to focus on Trachtenberg’s health and appearance. Many of her fans expressed worry over the color of her eyes, suggesting potential health issues like liver failure:
