CSI Actor Gary Dourdan’s Net Worth In 2023 After Filing For Bankruptcy

Gary Dourdan, famous for his role in ‘CSI,’ has seen better days. This decline follows two bankruptcies and several run-ins with the law.

Once a star on the CBS series ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,’ Gary Dourdan has had struggles in both his professional and personal life. As 2023 draws to a close, let’s take a closer look at his current financial standing and past struggles.

Dourdan’s Financial and Legal Struggles

Born in Philadelphia on December 11, 1966, Dourdan rose to fame portraying Warrick Brown on CSI. His early years in the entertainment industry were marked by a steady rise, with appearances in the Alien film franchise in 1997 and eventually landing his breakthrough role in CSI in 2000.

Despite his early success, Dourdan’s financial and legal troubles began to surface publicly. His first encounter with bankruptcy came in August 2011, when he reported debts of $1.73 million against assets of just over $1.8 million.

The situation did not improve, leading to a second bankruptcy filing in January 2015. At that time, court documents revealed that Dourdan had a mere $904.35 in his general bank account and $84.50 in savings after accounting for his expenses, including a $135 yoga class and $1,500 monthly child support payments to his ex, Jennifer Sutton, for their daughter Nyla.

Legal issues have also plagued Dourdan. In 2008, he faced felony drug possession charges, followed by an arrest for oxycontin possession and drug paraphernalia in 2011. The same year, he was arrested for felony battery against his then-girlfriend, leading to a lawsuit and a five-year probation period.

Gary Dourdan’s 2023 Net Worth

As of 2023, reports indicate that Gary Dourdan’s net worth stands at $500 thousand. This figure marks a decline from the heights of his CSI days. His career post-CSI included roles in shows like ‘Mistresses’ and ‘Being Mary Jane,’ as well as in films such as ‘Perfect Stranger’ and ‘Jumping the Broom.’

After his most recent projects, like 2021’s ‘Redemption Day,’ 2022’s ‘The Moderator’ and ‘Rolling Into Christmas,’ and this year’s ‘Heaven Sent,’ Dourdan has a busy schedule for new projects. He has 7 upcoming projects so far, named ‘The Forfeiture Clause,’ ‘Mnemonix,’ ‘Thebes,’ ‘Bonecrackers,’ ‘Zero,’ ‘Desdemona’s Revenge,’ and ‘The Lost Princess.’

It’s possible these new projects will affect his financial standing positively.
