Kevin Feige Had No Idea Zendaya Was Famous, Spider-Man Producer Says

They were surprised to learn she was a star.

Zendaya was already a big deal before the Spider-Man movies. It seems Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal had no clue about all of this!

Pascal spilled the beans in a new interview with Vogue. She said that when they first saw Zendaya, she looked like any other teenager, and they had no idea she was famous:

“To be honest with you, neither Kevin Feige nor I knew who she was. She was wearing no makeup and she was just dressed like a regular girl, and we were like, ‘Oh my God, she’s amazing. She has to be in the movie.’ And then we found out she was a totally famous person and felt really stupid.”

Zendaya appeared on Disney Channel, Beyonce’s movie ‘Lemonade,’ and ‘Dancing with the Stars’ before ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming.’

Spider-Man 4 Is Coming Our Way

There are rumors about a fourth Spider-Man movie. Tom Holland has been saying he’s all in for another movie as long as it’s good for Spider-Man’s story:

“I feel very protective over Spider-Man. I feel very, very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with each movie, that got more successful with each movie, which I think is really rare, and I want to protect his legacy. So, I won’t make another one for the sake of making another one. It will have to be worth the while of the character.”

Kevin Feige said last year that they’ve got a story ready and are working on making it happen. Amy Pascal also confirmed that they’re definitely planning another Spider-Man movie.
