Kirsten Dunst Says Marvel Movies Aren’t Her Thing, Except ‘Paw Patrol’

Dunst shared that she’s not really into Marvel movies, but ‘Paw Patrol’ is an exception thanks to her children.

Kirsten Dunst admitted that Marvel movies aren’t really her thing — but there’s an unusual exception.

Dunst revealed that she hasn’t watched any new Spider-Man movies or any Marvel movies since ‘Spider-Man 3’ was released in 2007. She explained to Variety simply:

“It’s just not my thing. But I did see ‘Paw Patrol.'”

This comparison may sound interesting, but Dunst is talking about being a mom.

Dunst Has Two Sons

Dunst and Jesse Plemons are raising their two sons, aged 5 and 2. She told Variety that they prefer an ‘analog lifestyle,’ which means more traditional, non-digital activities:

“We’ve got record players. We’re just not a ‘Siri, play whatever’ household. Our kids don’t have iPads either. If they want to use an iPad on the plane, it’s Dad’s iPad. And we’re not phone-at-restaurant kind of people. I’m not raising a kid that can’t have conversations at the table.”

Dunst talked about the iconic upside-down kiss scene in ‘Spider-Man’ in another interview. Although she found it ‘miserable,’ she has fond memories of the role. She is also open to the idea of returning as an older Mary Jane Watson, even joking about having ‘little Spidey babies.’

Dunst confirmed she wasn’t asked to join ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ but would have been happy to. She sees potential for her character in the Marvel, though.
