The Wrap recently revealed that Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson had a fight on the ‘Red Notice’ set in the fall of 2020. The tension arose due to the latter’s repeated tardiness:
“Ryan Reynolds was so infuriated after waiting five hours for Johnson that they had a huge fight.”
The outlet claimed that Johnson stormed off set after the fight, and the two didn’t speak ‘for years’ until they recently made up.
The Actors Remained Professional
TMZ later wrote that the incident ‘wasn’t nearly as dramatic.’ Reynolds approached Johnson to talk about his late arrival and was upset because of the tight filming schedule and pandemic-related tension, according to the article.
The report noted that filming went on as planned the next day and the co-stars didn’t let the dispute affect their work. An insider assured TMZ that they are ‘all good’ now.
Other sources shared that the reports exaggerated the hours Johnson was late. One of them told Page Six:
“There was no stomping off set, no loud argument that’s not true. [The disagreement is] water under the bridge. They’re professionals.”
Johnson’s Lateness Keeps Causing Issues On Set
Dwayne Johnson’s tardiness caused a problem on the set of his new film, ‘Red One,’ as well. Reports said earlier this week that the actor was repeatedly too late, sometimes up to eight hours.
The Wrap claimed that Johnson’s lateness caused a delay in the film’s release schedule and increased the budget to $250 million. Still, Amazon MGM Studios told the outlet that it was great to work with him and his Seven Bucks Production.
The actor joined Chris Evans and J.K. Simmons in the ‘Red One’ cast. The film is expected for release on November 15.
