Rumor: Wesley Snipes’ Blade Set For A Shocking MCU Comeback

Scooper teases Snipes’ MCU return after the ‘Blade’ reboot’s removal from release schedule.

Wesley Snipes’ Blade made a cameo in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ alongside Jennifer Garner’s Elektra and Channing Tatum’s Gambit in July 2024.

Since then, rumors hinted at the original Daywalker’s return in a future MCU project, possibly to conclude the Multiverse Saga in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’

Meanwhile, scooper MyTimeToShineHello reported an earlier appearance for the character, writing on X he’s ‘coming back sooner than you think.’

If that’s true, we may see Snipes in an MCU project set between ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars,’ though it’s all uncertain at the moment.

Marvel is currently focused on Mahershala Ali’s debut as Blade in a reboot, which previously saw multiple delays due to the pandemic, labor strikes, and loss of two directors.

The studio last removed the film from its 2025 schedule though Kevin Feige reassured fans at last week’s D23 Brazil event that they were still committed to it.

This followed comments by insider Daniel Richtman about a new timeline for production.

Richtman’s tweet in early November read, “Ali likes the new draft and they’re close to finding a director. It’s the MCU film most likely to go into production next year with nothing else as close. So, aside from the ones we already have [‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ ‘Thunderbolts,’ ‘The Fantastic Four’] it seems like [‘Spider-Man 4’] and ‘Blade’ are all that’s left for this saga, other than the ‘Avengers’ films.”

‘Blade’ could potentially fill Marvel’s November 6, 2026 release slot as a breather from the Multiverse Saga. But there’s a chance it could debut even earlier, on February 13, 2026, if Richtman’s scoop is correct.
