‘The Boys’ Gets Another Spin-Off: ‘Vought Rising’

This prequel will focus on the beginnings of Vought in the 1950s.

A new spin-off series of ‘The Boys’ is announced at San Diego Comic-Con.

This new show will be called ‘Vought Rising,’ and it’s a prequel that tells the story of Vought. The show will take place in the 1950s and will focus on the early days of Soldier Boy and Stormfront. Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash will return to play these roles.

The Boys’ official account recently tweeted about the new series, saying:

“Introducing the next deranged entry into the world of ‘The Boys’: ‘Vought Rising,’ starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. Set in the 1950s, exploring the early exploits of Soldier Boy and a supe you know as Stormfront. Only advice for now is to keep your hands off the f*cking shield.”

During the Comic-Con panel, Jensen Ackles appeared on stage and revealed that Soldier Boy will also be a regular character in the fifth and final season of ‘The Boys.’

Soldier Boy made a brief appearance in the post-credits scene of the season 4 finale. Showrunner Eric Kripke said that he always planned to end the show with season five. He describes season four as a ‘calm-before-the-storm’ moment leading up to the final climax.

‘The Boys’ was renewed for a fifth season on May 14.
