At ComFestCon, Tom Hiddleston recently provided a cryptic update on the possibility of Loki making an appearance in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ to fuel the speculation.
During a panel at this year’s ComFestCon, Hiddleston was questioned about the rumors of Loki joining the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ cast. True to Marvel’s tight-lipped nature, Hiddleston’s response was vague, stating:
“I don’t know, and if I did… I might not be allowed to tell you. I truly don’t know; Marvel is correctly protective of their information. I’ve seen the trailer; it looks good.”
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is no stranger to secrecy and the art of keeping fans on their toes, especially when it comes to the potential appearances of characters in upcoming films. This answer leaves much to the imagination, keeping the door open for speculation about Loki’s involvement.

Is Loki’s Appearance in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Possible?
Loki’s potential involvement comes with its set of complexities, especially considering his character’s development across the first two seasons of his self-titled Disney+ series, ‘Loki.’
The end of Season 2 saw Loki in a role as the God of Time, which could make his appearance in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ narratively plausible, especially with the film’s inclusion of the Time Variance Authority (TVA). However, concerns arise that reintroducing Loki could undermine the conclusion of his storyline unless a new variant of the character is introduced.
The film has already received attention with its trailer, featuring the TVA and hinting at a universe-spanning plot that could accommodate the God of Mischief. Yet, it appears the Marvel Studios and Hiddleston are keeping details under wraps.
In addition to Loki’s rumored cameo, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is confirmed to feature returns from the Deadpool franchise and exciting new additions. Names like Jennifer Garner (Elektra) and Aaron Stanford (Pyro) have been confirmed, with rumors about other cameos. Meanwhile, it’s recently confirmed that Josh Brolin won’t appear in the movie.
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is set to release on July 26, 2024. As the date approaches, whether Loki makes an appearance or not remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Marvel Studios knows how to keep the conversation going.
