Zendaya says that she had to give her parents a heads-up before they watched her new movie ‘Challengers.’
‘Challengers’ includes some adult scenes and strong language. It seems this led Zendaya to make sure her parents were prepared for what they were about to see:
“They know it’s a Rated-R movie. Walking into this, I was like, ‘If you can’t handle the heat, get out the kitchen.’ But I forewarned them. It was honestly my favorite part of the night ’cause I’ve seen the movie many times. I know when the scenes are coming so when those scenes were happening I just was watching my family because they were behind me, so I just watched them the whole time, it was hilarious.”

Sydney Sweeney’s Family Weren’t That Fortunate
Sydney Sweeney’s family watched ‘Euphoria,’ and it did not go as smoothly.
Sweeney’s dad and grandpa were caught off guard when they decided to watch ‘Euphoria.’ They were surprised by the show’s content, so they chose to stop watching in the end:
“How do you bring it up in conversation? When I talk to my dad, it’s usually not about work. We talk, like, father-daughter conversations. He decided he was going to watch it, without telling me, with his parents. My dad and my grandpa turned it off and walked out.”
‘Challengers’ Has a Steamy Three-Way Kiss Scene
‘Challengers’ is a sports drama about the life of a tennis player named Tashi Duncan. She is played by Zendaya. The film has themes that are quite different from Zendaya’s earlier roles on Disney shows.
It received positive reviews so far, but a particular scene showing Zendaya kissing two young men got people talking. Some fans had mixed feelings about Zendaya’s comments that her Disney experiences helped prepare her for more adult roles.
‘Challengers’ is set to hit theaters on April 26.
