Zendaya Reveals She Escaped A Ticket Thanks To Tom Holland’s ’Spider-Man’ Role

Holland’s fame as Spider-Man helped the couple avoid a speeding ticket.

Zendaya recently appeared on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ as part of a promotional tour for her new film, ‘Challengers.’ Kimmel asked the actress if she ever got a speeding ticket, and she replied:

“I have not. I’ve gotten close. Tom [Holland] and I were rushing to a spin class with my mother. I was not going to do the spin class. He was going to do the spin class. ‘Cause I don’t do that.”

Her memory went on:

“But we were going a little fast. We were running late, and they recognized that he was Spider-Man, and, ah, we were fine. We got a warning, and everything was okay.”

The Actress Thinks Holland Handled Fame Well

Tom Holland first wore the Spider-Man suit in ‘Captain America: Civil War.’ He later reprised the role for three standalones, ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame.’

Zendaya talked about her boyfriend’s fast fame after the Spider-Man role in a Vogue interview earlier this week:

“We were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight. One day you’re a kid and you’re at the pub with your friends, and then the next day you’re Spider-Man. I definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him. But he handled it really beautifully.”

The Couple May Reunite For A New Marvel Film

Holland is going back to the theater soon. He will play the lead role in Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’ opposite Francesca Amewudah-Rivers from May to August.

The actor will put on the Spider-Man costume again following the West End production. He is set to start filming ‘Spider-Man 4’ between September and October.

There are rumors that Zendaya might return as MJ in the new movie, but they are not confirmed yet.
