‘Hawkeye’s Jeremy Renner Is Scared Of Returning To The Big Screen

Renner has mixed feelings about going back to acting after his near-death experience.

Jeremy Renner has recently shared his feelings about returning to acting following a serious snowplow accident last year. The actor said he’s feeling ’a little bit scared’ to jump back into his role for the upcoming season of ‘Mayor Of Kingstown,’ after taking a break due to his injuries.

During a chat with People magazine on a Super Bowl LVIII commercial set, Renner described his comeback to the fast-paced world of filming as ‘arduous.’ He said:

“I don’t know if I’m looking forward to it. Again, I try to just do everything kind of step by step here. That’s one foot in front of the other one. Then you’re walking. [I’m] scared of slipping and falling.”

The Accident’s Effect On Renner

Jeremy Renner’s return to the ‘Mayor Of Kingstown’ set for Season 3 marks his first project since the accident at his home in Nevada last January.

The accident happened shortly before the second season of ‘Mayor Of Kingstown’ aired, leaving Renner with a broken leg, severe chest injuries, and significant blood loss. He was trying to save his nephew from an out-of-control Pistenbully snowcat at the time.

During his recovery process, the show was renewed for a third season last September. The news of the upcoming season sparked excitement when Renner’s co-star Emma Laird posted a set photo featuring the actor in December, implying the start of production.

The Actor Is Getting Used To Working Again

Meanwhile, the ‘Hawkeye’ star has expressed concerns over the demanding shooting schedule, which includes 14 to 18-hour days in the cold of Pittsburgh. He admitted to feeling anxious but was hopeful that he would get used to the work environment once he settled into a routine:

“I think I’m excited when I’m there, and I get in a rhythm there. I’m excited about the character and, of course, all the people involved and all that in the storyline, but for me, I’m just tentative of confidence in work.”

As of now, there’s no official release date for Season 3 of ‘Mayor of Kingstown.’
