‘Wonder Man’ Crew Member Dies Due To An Accident, Marvel Releases A Statement

Following the death of a crew member on Tuesday morning, Marvel shared a statement on the matter with ET.

The man working on Marvel Studios’ upcoming television series, ‘Wonder Man,’ lost his life following an incident at Radford Studios in Los Angeles.

According to Deadline, the rigger in Studio City, identified as Juan Carlos Osorio by the Los Angeles Police Department, fell from a catwalk and died at the scene.

Marvel’s Comments On The News

The incident took place when the ‘Wonder Man’ series was not actively filming, with production slated to resume in March after delays due to strikes.

Marvel Studios swiftly responded to the tragedy, expressing their condolences through a statement released to ET:

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident.”

The Details Of The Upcoming Show

The ‘Wonder Man’ TV series, announced in June 2022, is under the direction of Destin Daniel Cretton, known for ‘Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings.’ Head writer Andrew Guest, recognized for his work on ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and ‘Community,’ leads the creative team.

The cast features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, Wonder Man’s lead and undercover identity, along with Lauren Glazier and Ben Kingsley.

The studio has yet to announce a release date for the project.
