David Tennant Has Eyes On A Previous Role, And It’s NOT ‘The Doctor’

He likes the idea of bringing back the character, even though he died in the show.

David Tennant, famous as the Tenth Doctor in ‘Doctor Who,’ expressed a keen interest in revisiting a character from his past work, but it’s not the Time Lord.

At this year’s BAFTA awards, Tennant shared his thoughts on the roles he’s portrayed over the years, from ‘Harry Potter’ to ‘Doctor Who.’ However, it was the mention of Kilgrave that caught our attention, as the actor is looking to bring back Kilgrave, the mind-controlling antagonist from Netflix’s ‘Jessica Jones,’ despite the character’s conclusive death in the show’s first season:

“I’d love to do Kilgrave again; yeah, Kilgrave would be great. That would be good, wouldn’t it? I mean… he did very much get his neck broken; he was very dead. But never say never in the Marvel Universe.”

In a universe where death isn’t always the end, Tennant’s hope for Kilgrave’s revival seems more plausible than ever.

Is ‘Kilgrave’s Return To ‘Jessica Jones’ Possible?

Jessica Jones,‘ which aired on Netflix from 2015 to 2019, follows the story of a former superhero turned private investigator. Tennant’s character, Kilgrave, with his ability to control minds, presents a challenge to Jones, played by Krysten Ritter.

Despite Kilgrave’s death at the end of the first season, Tennant’s recent comments suggest a potential return, as he implies the MCU’s exploration of the Multiverse as a gateway for the character’s comeback. As the Marvel Universe continues to expand into the Multiverse, new narratives make Kilgrave’s return possible.
