Zoe Saldaña Warns Marvel About ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Return

The actress recently said she doesn’t see herself back in the MCU again.

Zoë Saldaña believes that the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise isn’t over yet. The Gamora actress talked about the Marvel team during a recent interview on ‘The Playlist.’ She shared:

“I would think it would be a huge loss for Marvel if they didn’t find a way to bring back the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ It’s just such a fan-favorite group of misfits, you know? And then at the helm, they had a voice like James Gunn’s writing — which is just so marvelous for and very specific for this genre.”

She’s Done With Gamora

Saldaña played Gamora in three ‘Guardians’ films, ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ and ‘Endgame.’ She starred opposite Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, Dave Bautista’s Drax, Vin Diesel’s Groot, and Bradley Cooper’s Rocket the Raccoon.

The actress spoke of reprising the MCU role by saying:

“I mean, so far, I think that [Gamora is done] for me, but I don’t think Gamora has gone for good.”

The Franchise’s Fate Is Unclear

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ ended with a new team of Rocket, Groot, Sean Gunn’s Kraglin, Maria Bakalova’s Cosmo, and Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock.

The Kraglin actor recently told Heroic Hollywood that the ‘Guardians’ wouldn’t return for a fourth installment although he previously mentioned mixed thoughts about the possibility.

Marvel also announced no plans for a new project about the Guardians of the Galaxy yet.
