Gina Carano Says She’s Not Sorry For Her Controversial Thoughts: “I Should’ve Been Louder”

Carano says she has no regrets about her social media posts that led to her firing.

Gina Carano says she doesn’t regret the things she posted online that led to her ‘The Mandalorian’ firing. In fact, she wishes she had been even louder about her opinions.

Carano shared her views on the pandemic and questioned the need for masks, vaccines, and lockdowns. She told The Sage Steele Show a personal story about a friend who passed away after getting the vaccine. The actress said the following with tears in her eyes:

“When people ask me if I would’ve done anything differently, I would’ve screamed. I would’ve screamed so much louder. Everything I was saying, from lockdowns to masks to vaccines — question everything. Do not allow these people to force this on you. Pay attention. I would’ve screamed it. So, I’m not sorry. I’m not sorry for what I said, for what I posted, for what I was standing for, for what I was screaming for or trying to scream for. I’m not sorry.”

Carano Thinks Her Firing is Unfair

Carano’s previous social media posts compared Republicans and Jews during the Holocaust. She was fired from ‘The Mandalorian’ after that. Gina explained that her real intention was to express concern over people turning against each other:

“I was literally just saying, ‘People, we are turning against each other, and history repeats itself, and we need to be cautious of that while all of our emotions are running so high.’ And it just seemed like it could reach everyone, that statement. It wasn’t anything compared to what some of my co-stars said, and they’d made references to Republicans being Nazis. What I put out there was more about for everyone. That was for everyone to stop demonizing each other, stop attacking each other.”

She Took Legal Action After That

Gina didn’t just step back and move on after her firing. She filed a lawsuit against Disney and Lucasfilm. Elon Musk is helping her in this fight by covering her legal expenses.

Gina accuses Disney and Lucasfilm of firing her for not agreeing with their political and social views. She’s asking for at least $75,000 and wants to return to her role as Cara Dune. Her lawsuit also talks about how other male actors in similar situations didn’t face the same consequences she did.

The firing hit Gina hard. She said she was feeling hopeless after losing her job and being publicly criticized by Disney.

Disney and Lucasfilm haven’t responded to the lawsuit.
