Stephen King Reacts To ‘Baby Reindeer’: ‘Holy Sh*t’

‘Baby Reindeer’ managed to earn a praise from Stephen King.

Stephen King gives a big thumbs up to the new Netflix show ‘Baby Reindeer.’ His reaction? Just two words: ‘Holy sh*t.’

King shared this reaction on his X account:

“BABY REINDEER: Holy sh*t.”

‘Baby Reindeer’ is a story about a comedian who finds himself in a scary situation because an obsessed woman is stalking him. Netflix started streaming the show recently, and it is based on real events.

Critics And Viewers Are Also Loving It

‘Baby Reindeer’ currently has a super high score of 98% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Viewers also rated it well — they gave the show an 83% score.

Richard Gadd, who helped create the show, said that ‘Baby Reindeer’ tries to be real about how stalking is a serious problem and not just something you see in movies. He wants to show that stalking can affect anyone:

“Stalking on television tends to be very sexed-up. It has a mystique. It’s somebody in a dark alleyway. It’s somebody who’s really sexy, who’s very normal, but then they go strange bit by bit. But stalking is a mental illness. I really wanted to show the layers of stalking with a human quality I hadn’t seen on television before. It’s a stalker story turned on its head. It takes a trope and turns it on its head.”

Richard Gadd plays a version of himself, and actress Jessica Gunning plays the woman who is stalking him. The show also features Nava Mau, Tom Goodman-Hill, Nina Sosanya, Michael Wildman, and Shalom Brune-Franklin.

‘Baby Reindeer’ is one of the top contenders at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards. It’s going to compete in the ‘Limited Series’ category.
